Despite collecting just three hits, the Louisiana College Wildcats were able to pick up a 1-0 win in game one of their American Southwest Conference doubleheader with Mississippi College on Friday afternoon.

With both teams going scoreless through the first five and half innings, the Wildcats got on the board in the bottom of the sixth when Will Currier hit a ground ball to Choctaw shortstop Robbie Jernigan that was thrown away trying to cut down LC pinch runner Cody McNeal at third base.

The ball was then touched by an MC player in the dugout, which was ruled dugout interference, advancing McNeal home for the only score of the ballgame.

LC senior Seth Webster was outstanding once again, throwing his fifth consecutive complete game, giving seven hits, walking none, and striking out six.

Choctaw starter Mack Murray was equally as impressive, giving up just three hits, striking out eight, walking one, and giving up just one run, which was unearned.

The win moved LC's ASC record to 3-1, 12-10 overall.
