Trinity And Endicott Split Baseball Doubleheader Down South

Auburndale, Fla. - The Trinity College Bantams split a doubleheader against the Endicott College Gulls, 12/3-0/6, in RussMatt Central Florida Baseball Invitational action this afternoon at Lake Myrtle Park. Trinity is now 7-7, while the Gulls move to 4-4.

In the first game, senior IF Stephen Rogers (Watertown, Mass.) led a potent Bantam offensive attack with three hits, while sophomore C Robert Ferrara (Fairfield, Conn.) had two doubles, and senior OF Alex Almeida (Bridgeport, Conn.) added two hits. Sophomore Sean Meekins (Rockville Centre, N.Y.), who went five innings for the win, first-year Colin Cantwell (Great Falls, Va.), and sophomore Anthony Redamonti (Trumbull, Conn.) combined to pitch a shutout. Rogers and senior Marc Crowley (Andover, Mass.) both tripled in the second game. Crowley's three-bagger drove in Trinity's first two runs in a three-run seventh inning, and he later scored the third run on a sacrifice fly.
