Rhodes Takes Double Header from Berry

The Rhodes College baseball team took both games of this afternoon's conference double header against Berry College. Rhodes won the first game 4-0 and the second game 15-5. Senior RHP Jackson Baker threw a complete game nine inning shutout in the first game and sophomore 3B Josh Keen led the way for the Lynx offense in the second game going 3-3 with two walks, six RBIs, and two runs scored.

Jackson Baker earned his sixth victory of the season in the first game. Baker faced only four over the minimium, striking out seven along the way. Baker allowed only six Berry hitters to reach base, four by hit, walked one, and hit one. The Lynx offense was led by senior SS Lynden Pindling 2-3 with two runs scored and stole three bases. Sophomore OF Andrew Wallis was 1-3 with an RBI and a walk. Senior LF Channing Arndt was 1-4 with two RBIs.

In the second game, freshman LHP Blake Glauben got the start for the Lynx. Glauben worked five innings, allowing six hits, four runs, while striking out three. Glauben improved to 2-2 on the year. Freshman RHP Daniel Morris worked the sixth inning for the Lynx before handing the ball over to junior LHP Max Halasz who finished out the game for the Lynx. Sophomore 3B Josh Keen led the Lynx offense in the second game going 3-3 with 6 RBIs, 2 runs scored, and walked twice. Senior SS Lynden Pindling was 2-3 with a double, 3 runs scored, drove in a run, and got hit by a pitch. Junior 2B Jordan Infield was 2-4 with an RBI and scored 2 runs. Freshman OF Sam Reid was 1-3 with three runs scored. Junior C Josh Goodwin was 2-4 with 2 runs scored, an RBI, and walked once.

Rhodes will finish out the three game set with visiting Berry College Friday afternoon at AutoZone Park in downtown Memphis. First pitch is set for 2:00.
