Seth Webster threw his sixth consecutive complete game and his third shutout of the season in a 2-0 win in game one of Louisiana College's baseball doubleheader with Texas-Dallas on Thursday afternoon in Richardson, TX.

The Deville, LA native dominated yet another opponent as he worked all seven innings against the Comets, giving up five hits, striking out five, walking none while not allowing a run.

Fellow local star Matt Scott (Pineville, LA/Pineville HS) drove in both runs for the Wildcats in game one, driving in sophomore right fielder Kade Van Norman on an RBI single in the top of the third inning off Comets ace Derek Dallas to put LC ahead 1-0.

Scott would give LC some added cushion in the top of the seventh inning with a long home run over the left field wall to give the Wildcats a 2-0 lead.

Scott finished game one 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBI and a run scored. Van Norman also went 2-for-4 with a run scored and set a new career-high for stolen bases with two.

The win moved Webster's record to 6-2 for the season, and tied him for the NCAA lead in complete games with six.

Game two was dominated by Texas-Dallas starting pitcher Calvin Campbell, who was nearly untouchable in a 4-0 win for the Comets.

Campbell worked seven innings, giving up just three hits, striking out four, walking none, and not allowing a run to pick up the win.

Comet centerfielder Tyler Gandy started the scoring in the bottom of the second inning with an RBI single to left field. Texas-Dallas would add a run in the fifth inning and two more in the eighth inning, highlighted by an RBI double from first baseman Brandon Clounch to left center field in the eighth.

LC got a nice start from Madison Lachney, who took the loss to move to 4-2 despite throwing eight strong innings. Lachney gave up 10 hits and walked just one while giving up four earned runs.

Sophomore left fielder Mark Riendeau had two of the Wildcats five hits in game two, as he finished 2-for-4 at the plate.

The Wildcats moved their season record to 14-13 overall, 5-3 in ASC play, with the doubleheader split. They take on the Comets again on Friday in a single nine-inning game beginning at noon.
