Louisiana College senior right-hander Seth Webster proved again why he is one of the nation's elite in game one of Saturday's doubleheader against East Texas Baptist.

The Buckeye High School product tossed yet another complete game shutout, going all seven innings, giving up just three hits and striking out seven without walking a Tiger hitter while throwing just 81 pitches in a 4-0 LC victory.

It was Webster's seventh consecutive complete game, third consecutive shutout, and fourth shutout for the season. All of those totals currently rank first in Division III baseball.

The Wildcats scored all four of their runs in the third inning off of ETBU starter T.J. Barnes, as Matt Scott was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to make it 1-0 before Kyle Feazell cleared the bases with a three-run double down the right field line.

That was all the help Webster would need, as he carried a one-hitter into the final frame before giving up two harmless singles in the seventh, which he would eventually leave on base as Jon Burkhart grounded out to Taylor Beavers at third to end the game.
