NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Mike Smith ripped a solo shot to right field to give CCNY a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first but the CCNY Beavers could not capitalize as two big innings for CSI blew the game open and allowed the Dolphins to take game one, 10-1.

With a runner on third base, Martino pitched out of trouble and threw a scoreless opening frame.

Felice Martino (1-5) was tagged with the loss after allowing nine runs – five earned – in 4.0 innings. Anthony Rivera struck out a career-high six hitters in 2.2 scoreless innings. Richard Anderson (5-2) picked up the win, striking out six and allowing five hits in 6.0 innings.

Smith's home run was the fourth of the season for the junior.

CSI threatened to tie the game in the top of the second before Martino once again forced the Dolphins to strand a runner as second baseman Yoribaldis Olivo made a diving stop to his right to preserve the 1-0 lead.

A huge fourth inning by the Dolphins gave Staten Island a 4-1 lead on four hits, including a two-out double to the gap in left-center field.

Emmanuel Nwokelo hit a dribbler down the third base line that stayed just fair for CCNY's third base hit of game one.

Errors allowed another big inning for CSI as the Dolphins put five runs on the scoreboard  in the fourth to blow the game open and take a 9-1 lead. The Dolphins added another run in the fifth inning to take a 10-1 lead and that would be the final.
