The Baruch College Bearcats suffered a disappointing 6-3 loss in 11 innings to the Stevens Institute of Technology on Tuesday afternoon at Bronx Community College Baseball Field.

The Bearcats started by building a 2-0 lead in the third inning on an RBI double by Nicholas Pomo-Roman and a fielder's choice RBI by John Yuksekol.

The game sped along quickly with a pitcher's duel as Eric Peralta (8.1 IP, 5H, 2ER, 2 ER, 5BB, 8K) kept the visiting Ducks off the scoreboard until the eighth inning.

The Ducks rallied with a run in the eighth and added another in their final at-bat to send the CUNYAC conference game into extra innings.

The Ducks, an associate member of CUNYAC baseball, broke open the extra inning affair with four runs on four hits and three errors in their top of half of the eleventh for the 6-2 advantage.

The Bearcats did score a run in their final at-bat on an RBI single by Loprete, but that game finished with a 6-3 defeat to fall to 8-4 in the CUNYAC standings.

The Bearcats are scheduled to play Farmingdale State on Thursday, April 25, at 3:30 pm.
