Panthers Cruise to Victory Over Beavers

 OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. – The shorthanded City College of New York (4-25) had trouble scoring runs and totaled three hits as the College of Old Westbury (19-13-1) handled the Beavers 10-0 on Tuesday evening at the Jackie Robinson Athletic Complex.

Starting pitcher Max Mueller finished 1-for-2 from the plate while Anthony Rivera and Yoribaldis each went 1-for-3. A total of four players began the game at a new position as Felice Martino was the third baseman, Mueller was on the hill, Victor Vargas was the first baseman and Ajay Bhatnagar was the right fielder.

The right-hander Mueller (0-1) was saddled with the loss after allowing nine runs in 4.0 innings while Tyler Kapela (3-1) and Alex DiSanto teamed to shut out the Beavers with Kapela earning his third win on the year.
