EAGLE LAKE, Fla. – Wartburg College stopped Albion College's four-game winning streak Friday. The Knights took advantage of eight walks in building a 9-0 lead after 2 ½ innings and they cruised to a 15-5 victory over the Britons.

Albion rallied for three runs in the bottom of the third inning. Dan Mills drove in a run on a ground out and Davin Montgomery and Michael Fischbach lined two-out RBI singles. Kyle Kowal and Lee Madziar tacked on two-out RBI singles in the eighth for the Britons.

Albion collected 13 hits in the game, but its scoring chances were hampered by hitting into four double plays. Kowal finished with three hits and he leads the team with a .500 batting average. Montgomery and Madziar collected two hits apiece.

Jacob Thumann led Wartburg's 17-hit attack with three hits.

Albion, 4-4 overall, needs a win against Penn State-Altoona Saturday morning to complete its spring break trip with a above-.500 record. Bobby Lee will be at Lake Myrtle Park for the play-by-play of the internet broadcast. Programming will begin at approximately 9 a.m.
