Offense Leads Trinity Baseball To Season-Opening Win Against Denison

Auburndale, Fla.  - Making his debut as Trinity baseball's head coach, Bryan Adamski watched his new team rack up 18 hits in a 13-5 win over Denison University in Trinity's season opener in Florida today.  Daniel Pigeon went 2-5 with a double, triple, and six RBI in his collegiate debut, while Connor Sullivan went 4-5 to lead the Bantams.  Scott Huley went 2-3 with two walks and two doubles, while Carson Kenney and Mackenze Genauer picked up three hits apiece.  Bryan Wolfe, making his return after sitting out last season with an injury, picked up right where he left off, going 3-5 with a double and an RBI.

Sean Meekins made the start on the hill for Trinity, allowing five runs in four and a third innings, posting five strikeouts, and David O'Brien, Dylan Callahan, and Chris Speer finished the game without allowing any earned runs, en route to Trinity's first win of the season.

Trinity plated four runs in their first at-bat, added another in the second frame, and three more in the third, as the Bantams created separation early, taking an 8-0 lead.  Denison made things interesting with a five-run fifth to cut Trinity's lead to 8-5.  But Trinity added two more in the sixth, and three in the seventh, capping their 13-run extravaganza.
