GREENCASTLE, IND. – Manchester University clouted three home runs and five extra base hits as part of a non-conference doubleheader at DePauw University Tuesday, March 18.

The Spartans, slipping to 6-7, were toppled by the host Tigers 9-5 in game one and 6-4 in game two. Junior outfielder Kyle Norris (Indianapolis, Ind.), sophomore catcher Elliott Ford (Rome City, Ind.) and junior shortstop Trevor Kimm (Anderson, Ind.) each delivered round trippers. Kimm and senior designated hitter Dan Maringer (Fort Wayne, Ind.) were the overall leaders hits-wise with two each, while Ford finished with three RBIs, and Kimm and Norris ended with two each.

DePauw produced a combined six runs over the third and fourth frames to break up a 3-3 tie in game one. The Black and Gold also attempted a late-inning comeback in the nightcap, cutting a 6-2 deficit to 6-4 with two in the sixth. However, the hosts' bullpen shut the comeback down at that point.
