Rochester ran it's way to the 20th win of the season by posting a 10-3 victory over D'Youville College at Towers Field on Thursday evening.

The Yellowjackets broke the team record stolen bases in a game as well as steals. UR was 13 of 13 on steal attempts. The record for successful steals was 11, set on April 13, 2010 at RIT. In that game, Rochester set the mark of 12 steal attempts.

Ethan Sander had 3 stolen bases. Josh Ludwig, Lance Hamilton, Sam Slutsky, and Brandon Heinrich had 2 stolen bases each.

Freshman pitcher David Strandberg got his third win of the season. Through 7 innings, Strandberg gave up 4 hits, 2 walks, 2 unearned runs in the 3rd, and had 7 strikeouts. The only time he saw trouble was in the 3rd inning, Jordan Ianarelli reached on catcher's interference. With another runner already on base, Matt Wendling singled to tie the score at 1 and Ianarelli came home on a balk to put the Spartans ahead 2-1.

The Jackets went ahead for good in the third when they scored 4 runs, 3 of which were unearned. D'Youville pitcher Brian Mattina-Chimiel walked the bases loaded. A throwing error on Heinrich's ground ball brought home two runs. Two batters later, Sander tripled to right center to help build a 5-2 Rochester lead.

Brendan Garry singled a run home in the 4th to bump the lead to 6-2. Rochester scored 3 more runs in the 7th to stretch its advantage with the help of 5 stolen bases.

Hamilton, who drove in five runs in Tuesday's dramatic win over Brockport, drove in three more Thursday night. Sander and Brandon Heinrich each 2 RBI's against D'Youville.

Rochester stranded 14 base runners and D'Youville left seven on base.
