Rose-Hulman Moves to 3-1 in Florida

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology improved to 3-1 on its 2015 Florida Spring Baseball Trip with an 8-5 win over Milwaukee School of Engineering on Thursday afternoon.

Milwaukee School of Engineering jumped out to a 4-2 lead after 3 1/2 innings, but Rose-Hulman answered with two runs in the fourth and four in the sixth to secure the victory.

The Rose-Hulman offensive attack featured 13 hits, including six players with multiple-hit games.  Junior Kody Alayon and junior Donnie Waters led the way with a single, double, one run and one RBI.  Cody Sunderhaus added a double, a single and scored once.

Junior Patrick Klima, junior Caleb Kissel and junior Zach Hull had two singles each for the offensive effort.  Klima scored once, Kissel had one run and one RBI, and Hull contributed one run and one RBI.  Sophomore Zach Trusk also had a two-run single.

The offensive performance helped freshman Joey Callahan earn his first college victory out of the bullpen.  Callahan tossed four innings, allowing one run and one walk with two strikeouts.  Sophomore Jordan Bosse pitched a scoreless eighth, and junior Alec McNally shut down the Raiders in the ninth to earn his first save in Florida.

Rose-Hulman returns to action on Thursday with a 2 pm matchup against Wartburg.
