Auburndale, FL – The SUNY Canton baseball team struggled to get the bats going in a 11-0 loss to Fontbonne University on Monday morning in Auburndale.

The Roos (2-3) received four hits in the game, one each from Wilson Matos (Brooklyn, NY), Jeremy Baez (Bronx, NY), Derrick Machado(Brooklyn, NY) and Chris Jones (Deerfield Beach, FL).

The game remained just a one score game until the Griffins erupted for a six run sixth inning to break things open. Fontbonne would add two runs each in the seventh and eighth innings resulting in the run rule after eight innings of play.

Jacob Wilson led the way for the Griffins with 3 RBIs, while Zach Carel plated two. Cale Laughlin earned the victory on the mound for Fontbonne, while Osterer picked up the loss.
