Bridgewater, NJ – Felix Baez (San Juan, PR/Colegio Presbiteriano) tossed a one-hitter in Saturday's opener and Keystone College outscored Centenary College 21-3 in a Colonial States Athletic Conference baseball doubleheader sweep at the TD Bank Ballpark.  The Giants lift their record to 15-9 on the spring including a 3-3 mark in conference play while the Cyclones see their record slide to 12-9 overall and 4-6 in the CSAC.

In Saturday's opener, Baez surrendered just a two-out, first inning single by Ryan Caparoni while striking out 10 batters and got plenty of run support to improve to 3-0 on the season with a complete-game gem.

Keystone took a 1-0 lead in their first at-bats as Dylan Corl (Morrisdale, PA/West Branch ) came home on a fielding error on a ball hit by Kevin Luciano (Everett, MA/Cambridge Rindge and Latin School) before pushing their lead to 3-0 in the second inning on RBI hits by Chris Bzozowski (Westampton, NJ/Bishop Eustace) and Julian Lanfranco (Brooklyn, NY/Xaverian).

The Giants extended their lead to 5-0 in the top of the sixth inning on a two-run home run by Nate Ross (Albuquerque, NM/La Cueva) before blowing the game open with a seven-run seventh inning.  Alex Herceg (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial) hit a two-run home run before Joe Angelucci (Commack, NY/Commack) was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.  Lanfranco followed with a two-run single before Corl drove in a pair with a double to centerfield.

That was more than enough offense for Baez, who walked three batters on the day.  Lanfranco and Ross had three hits apiece to lead Keystone's offense with Lanfranco driving in three runs while Ross drove in a pair of runs and scored three times.

Mitchell Renz (2-2) suffered the loss on the mound for Centenary after allowing five runs on seven hits in six innings of work.  Edward Casiano was charged with four runs on two hits in 0.1 innings while Robert Aromando surrendered three runs on three hits before recording the final out for the Cyclones.

In game two, James Dunning (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) improved to 4-0 on the hill after fanning six batters in six innings of work.

Keystone took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning on a two-run single by Luciano before stretching their lead to 6-0 with a four-run second inning.  Lanfranco hit an RBI single before Gaston Rojas (Carmel, NY/Carmel) drove in a pair with base hit up the middle.  Rojas then scored the Giants' sixth run of the game on a wild pitch.

Eduardo Familia (Bronx, NY/Collegio Utesianode Estudios Integrados) scored on an RBI groundout by Lanfranco in the third inning as Keystone opened up a seven-run advantage before Centenary scored their first two runs of the day in the bottom half of the inning on RBI hits by Caparoni and Dave Raifsnider.

Familia scored his second run of the game an Keystone's eighth of the contest by coming home as Anthony Muccio (Tarrytown, NY/Archbishop Stepinac) was thrown out stealing in the visitor's fifth before the Cyclones closed out the scoring on a Chris Kiesel sacrifice fly in the home sixth.

Dunning picked up his fourth win of the season after allowing three runs on seven hits in six innings.  Hector Vargas (Queens, NY/Forest Hills) closed out the victory with a scoreless seventh inning in which he recorded one strikeout.

Luciano, Familia, and Cody Darley (Port St. Lucie, FL/Treasure Coast) had two hits apiece to lead the Giants in the game two win.

Centenary's Jimmy Kraivec (2-2) suffered the loss after allowing seven runs on four hits and five walks in two innings.  The Cyclones, who got two hits from Raifsnider and Kevin Litus, used a total of five pitchers in the game two loss.

Keystone and Centenary will wrap up their regular season series on Sunday afternoon with a single, nine-inning game scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. at Keystone's Christy Mathewson Field in La Plume.
