CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The Thiel College baseball team earned a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) doubleheader sweep over the 25th-ranked Thomas More Saints Wednesday afternoon.

It took extra innings, but the Tomcats pushed three runs across the plate in the ninth frame of the first game to earn a 3-0 win.

Brian Genco plated two of the runs on a single through the right side that scored Bryan Mitchell and Matt Elko. Dan Koller followed with a sacrifice fly to right field that scored Trent Mosley from third.

Elko recorded his sixth win of the season, striking out six Saints and only allowing four hits in eight innings. Pat Duncan shut the Saints down in the bottom of the ninth to pick up his fifth save of the season.

Mosley followed with a sacrifice fly to center field that brought Ryan Brumbaugh home. Finally, Koller picked up a bases-loaded walk that scored Elko.
