Baruch Suffers One Run Loss to Rutgers-Camden

The Baruch College Bearcats lost 3-2 to Rutgers-Camden on Tuesday afternoon at Camden Riversharks Stadium in Camden, New Jersey.

The Bearcats were threatening in the ninth inning, but an outstanding catch with the bases loaded to end the game by the Scarlet Raptors' Joe Brooks clinched their 3-2 non-conference win.

The Scarlet Raptors' jumped out to a 3-0 lead through the fourth inning and kept the visiting Bearcats scoreless until their bats came alive in the eighth inning.
Jasdeep Buttarreached on an error and was credited with an RBI after Matthew Ballonescored to cut the score to 3-1.

In the ninth inning, the Bearcats rallied with two outs and got as close as 3-2 on an
Eric UlinoRBI single to plate John Paul Cattaro.

Angel Tejedasmacked hard line drive into the outfield but Brooks make the acrobatic catch for the third out to end the game for the Bearcats.

The baseball team will travel across the river to New Jersey again on Sunday, April 19, for a newly scheduled 1:00 pm single contest at Ramapo College.
