Emory University sophomore Jackson Weeg picked up his 10th win of the season, and juniors David Coble and Dylan Eisner combined for seven hits at the top of the lineup, to lift the Eagles to a 6-4 win over Piedmont College in the teams' season finale on Saturday at Chappell Park.

Emory ended the regular season with a 26-12 record, including wins in 12 of their last 15 games.  Piedmont finished its campaign with a mark of 23-17.

Weeg became just the 10th pitcher in the program's history to reach 10 wins in a season, improving to 10-1 on the year with a 2.10 ERA.  He threw seven and a third innings in the game, giving up three runs on 10 hits and three walks, while striking out four batters.

Emory jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the contest, scoring a pair in the first and four more in the second.  Piedmont registered single runs in the fourth, sixth, eighth innings, pulling to within three runs of the Eagles heading into the ninth.

The Lions would score another in the ninth and bring the potential game-tying run to the plate, but sophomore Kyle Monk preserved the lead and closed out the game for his second save in as many days.  Monk's nine saves this season are tied for the second-most in school history, one behind the program record, set by Keith Meizler in 2006.

Coble finished the day four-for-five with two runs scored and a double, while Eisner went three-for-four with a run scored.  Senior Wes Peacock and sophomore Philip Maldari each drove in two runs, while senior Jordan Selbach added a two-for-four day at the plate.

Starting pitcher Seth George took the loss for Piedmont, ending his season with a 3-4 record.

With the 2015 regular season in the books, the Eagles will now await the selection of the field for the NCAA Division III Championships, to see if they will be making their second-straight postseason appearance.  The tournament field is slated to be released on NCAA.com at midnight on Monday, May 11th
