AUBURNDALE, Fla. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology pounded out 16 hits, including the season's first home run, in a convincing 9-0 win over Neumann on Thursday afternoon as part of the baseball team's Florida spring trip.

Junior Zach Trusk pounded a two-run home run and a double among three hits with three RBIs and two runs scored.  Senior Kody Alayon led the offensive onslaught with four hits and two runs scored in the leadoff spot.

Senior Caleb Kissel added two hits, including a double, with one run scored and one RBI.  Junior Drew Schnitz pounded out two hits with three RBIs and two runs scored.  Senior Patrick Klima added two singles and scored twice, while senior Donnie Waters had a single and two RBIs.

The offense provided plenty of support for senior Daniel Sutherland and freshman Trevor Dallio to combine on a shutout on the mound.  Sutherland scattered five singles in 7.1 innings of work with just one walk and one strikeout.  Dallio retired the final five batters to preserve the shutout.

Rose-Hulman improved to 4-1 in Florida with its fourth consecutive win.  The Fightin' Engineers have two games remaining in Florida, with matchups scheduled against Capital University on Friday at noon and Rhode Island College on Saturday morning at 9 a.m.
