AUBURNDALE, Fla. - The Benedictine University baseball team moved to 3-0 on the spring trip with a win over Kalamazoo College.

THE DETAILS
• Three walks and a wild pitch in the first inning allowed Kalamazoo to grab a quick 1-0 lead
• Benedictine quickly grabbed the lead in the bottom of the second with three runs
• Tanner Kiser led off with a walk and stole second before scoring on a ground-rule double from Dom DeMicco
• Kyle Bock would add an RBI triple with two outs in the frame before coming across on a wild pitch
• Kalamazoo would not score again until late in the game as Benedictine tacked on single tallies in the third and eighth with a pair in the sixth
• Brandon Gipson was the only individual to use a hit to drive in a run the rest of the way as Benedictine manufactured offense
STAT LEADERS
• During the third game on the trip, Benedictine used the bullpen for the first time
• Alex Wolfe earned the win by working five innings Marty Maves tossed three and Christopher Nesbitt finished off the decision
• Kalamazoo posted nine hits, one more than Benedictine
• Gipson, DeMicco, and Bock each posted two hits with DeMicco and Bock logging a pair of RBIs
