Short Story: Senior Captain Jake Enterlin helped right the ship for Johns Hopkins Wednesday, tossing an eight-inning gem to help lead the Blue Jays to a 6-0 victory over visiting Dickinson. The graduate student needed just 79 pitches to get through eight innings and scattered four hits while striking out four and walking just one. Alex Ross pitched a scoreless ninth to preserve the second shutout of the season for Hopkins.  Conor Reynolds and Daniel Albert each recorded three-hit games to lead the offense, while Jon Hayden chipped in with a pair of singles en route to his first multi-hit game of the season.

How it Happened:
- Enterlin was tremendous and efficient from the first inning, allowing just five baserunners throughout the contest and picking off two of them.
- The Jays got on the board first with a pair of runs in the bottom of the third. Albert plated Hayden for the first run of the game with an RBI single and Raul Shahfollowed it up with an RBI of his own on a fielder's choice.
- Hopkins broke the game open in the bottom of the fourth when it scored four runs. The big blow of the inning was a two-run double off the bat of Mike Smith. Hayden and Albert also recorded RBIs in the frame.
- Enterlin took over from there, silencing the Red Devil's bats for the next four innings. The right-hander sent the last 10 batters he faced down in order.

- In addition to his three hits, Reynolds also drew his team-best 22nd walk of the season in
Wednesday's win.
- Hayden, who came into today's game with hits in his last two at bats, recorded hits in his first two
at bats of the game.
Smith batted second for the Jays Wednesday, his sixth different spot in the batting order this
year. The sophomore now has hits in his last seven home games.
- The loss was the Red Devils' 14th road loss in a row.

Hayden's Take: "It felt good to contribute to a win after a rough start to my junior year and I've definitely felt more comfortable at the plate recently. It's also is easy to get in a rhythm when our pitchers throw well, as Jake did today. He has great stuff and he's been doing that here for a while, it should come as no surprise to anyone at this point." –Jon Hayden
