Junior first baseman TJ Lynch (South Kingstown, RI) singled to drive in Douglas with Barry scoring on a two-out single to cap the RIC outburst.

RIC started the scoring with junior third baseman Scott Linnane (North Kingstown, RI) notching an RBI single. With two outs and the bases loaded, Barry stepped in and ripped a double, which scored a pair to give RIC a 7-4 lead.

Salve got one back in the bottom of the frame when freshman right fielder Zack Smith (New Canaan, CT) smacked a solo homer. The Seahawks would be held scoreless until the bottom of the eighth when they were able to score a pair of runs on three hits to knot the game at 7-7.

The game continued into extra innings, with Salve's All-American, Perry, stepping up to bat against RIC senior pitcher Kory Lawrence (Woonsocket, RI) with two down in the bottom of the 11th. Lawrence was able to strike the All-American out to secure the tie for the Anchormen.
