Spiers drove in Duphorn with a base hit to make it 1-0. Brown reached on a fielder's choice and knocked in Butler from third as the visitors took a 2-0 advantage.

R-MC added to its lead in the third. Brown had a one-out double and came home on a two-base hit by senior Blake Saathoff (Catonsville, Md./Archbishop Spalding). Saathoff advanced to third on a base hit by senior Jay Patti (Sparks, Md./Hereford) and scored on a fielder's choice by Pape, making it a 4-0 contest.

The Yellow Jackets exploded with five in the fourth. Spiers homered to lead off the frame, going deep for the first time this season, to extend R-MC's lead to 5-0. Pape drew a bases-loaded walk, Evans added a two-run single and Duphorn delivered an RBI double to push the advantage to 9-0.
