WINTER HAVEN, FL - The Benedictine University baseball team rallied from a three-run deficit but came up short in a non-conference game against Eastern Connecticut State as part of the spring break trip in Florida.

THE DETAILS
Benedictine jumped ahead with a pair of runs in the top of the second inning
Andrew Hotze led off the frame with a triple down the line in right and scored promptly on a single from Nicholas Quick
Jack Feeley and Jimmy McLaughlin tallied back-to-back one out walks to load the bases
With two away, Brandon Gipson coaxed the third walk of the inning to force home a run
Eastern Connecticut quickly responded in the bottom of the inning, chasing Benedictine starter Ivan Guzman after scoring five times
