Radnor, Pa. – Keystone College scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning on Friday afternoon to rally for a 4-3 victory over Cabrini University as the Giants spoiled the Cavaliers' Colonial States Athletic Conference baseball debut.  Keystone improves to 7-5 on the season and 1-0 in the CSAC while the Cavaliers slip to 6-5 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

Anthony Ferrezza (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip) delivered a two-out, two run single in the bottom of the eighth inning to propel the Giants to the victory in a game played at Cabrini with Keystone as the home team due to the remnants of Winter Storm Stella making Christy Mathewson Field unplayable in La Plume.

The Giants took a 1-0 lead in the home half of the second inning when Chris Panzarella (Hazle Township, Pa./Hazleton Area) scored on an RBI groundout by Ryan Callahan (Highland Mills, N.Y./Monroe-Woodbury)

Keystone maintained the one-run edge until the top of the sixth inning when the Cavaliers tied the score by taking advantage of an error by the Giants.

Cabrini used a pair of RBI singles in the visitor's eighth to claim a 3-1 lead, but the Giants rallied with three runs on three hits, one walk, and one batsman in the bottom half of the frame to go back in front.

With two outs and the bases loaded, William De La Cruz (Washington Heights, N.Y./St. Raymonds) drew a walk to cut Keystone's deficit to 3-2 before Ferrezza delivered a clutch base hit up the middle to bring home Billy Nelson (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono) and Adrian Laro (Brooklyn, N.Y./Grand St. Campus) with the tying and go-ahead runs.

The Cavaliers put the tying run on third base with one out in the top of the ninth inning, but the Giants cut down that runner at the plate before Pat Meagher (Wall Township, N.J./Wall) struck out the final batter to give Keystone the win.

Miguel Reyes (Bronx, N.Y./Monroe) improved to 2-0 on the season with a strong start for the Giants, going eight innings and allowing a pair of earned runs while striking out eight batters on the day.  Meagher notched his first save in a Keystone uniform with a scoreless ninth after working around a leadoff single with one K.

Ferrezza and Bray Curreri (Eldred, N.Y./Eldred Central) led the Giants with two hits apiece on the day with both adding a stolen base apiece.

Josh Breittholz suffered the loss despite going the distance on the mound for Cabrini and allowing four runs on seven hits and five walks while fanning four batters on the day.

Dylan Butler paced the Cavaliers with a pair of hits in the contest.

Keystone and Cabrini will wrap up their regular season series on Saturday with a doubleheader starting at noon in Radnor.
