Summary
AUBURNDALE, Fla. - Freshman left hander Patrick Maybach (No. Kingstown, R.I.) came within one out of a no-hitter in his first collegiate outing, finishing with a complete-game 3-0 victory for Salve Regina University baseball against Rochester Institute of Technology.

Maybach struck out 11 Tigers, including the first two batters he faced in the top of the ninth inning, to move one out away from a no-no. Will Gorman (Nassau, N.Y.) singled up the middle on the first pitch he saw to break up the no-hitter; Brett Kajganich (North Royalton, Ohio) followed with a single down the right field line.

After a visit from his head coach, Eric Cirella, Maybach induced a flyout to Brody Santilli in right center to end the game.

Alex Perry (No. Attleboro, Mass.) had two hits in four at bats along with an RBI and a run scored.

Series and Streaks
First ever meeting between the two schools in baseball. After dropping their opener on Friday, the Seahawks have won two straight.
