WAPPINGERS, N.Y. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | Senior center fielder Nick Ruscingno (Teaneck, N.J./Teaneck) set a single-game school record for hits, batting 6-for-6 with five RBIs and three runs and New Jersey City University baseball team had its highest-scoring inning in recent history, scoring 12 in the eighth inning, as the Gothic Knights rolled past Mount Saint Mary College (NY), 21-0, on March 30 at Dutchess Stadium.


NJCU won its fourth straight game to even its record at 5-5 heading into the start of New Jersey Athletic Conference play this weekend. Clutching a 9-6 lead after seven innings, NJCU sent 17 men to the plate and scored 10 consecutive runs without an out being recorded. A very patient freshman left fielder Bill Feehan (Point Pleasant, N.J./Point Pleasant Boro), the 2-time NJAC Rookie Player of the Week, equaled a school record with four walks.
