The Baruch College Bearcats suffered an 11-2 defeat to the Scarlet Raiders of Rutgers University-Newark in a non-conference contest on Monday afternoon at Riverfront Stadium in Newark, New Jersey.

The Scarlet Raiders jumped out to a 4-0 lead after two innings, but the visiting Bearcats responded in the fourth with
Edwin St. Hilaire slamming a two-run homer to left field to plate Dan Daley to cut the score to 4-2.

The home team added a fifth run in their bottom fifth and scored three more runs in each of the seventh and eighth innings for the victory. Overall, they finished with 11 runs on 10 hits.

The Bearcats will return to action tomorrow with a non-conference contest at St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn). First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at American Legion Complex.
