Baruch Falls to Coast Guard

The Baruch College Bearcats continued their Florida schedule on Sunday afternoon with a non-conference contest against the United States Coast Guard Academy in Fort Myers, Florida.

The Bearcats lost 9-2 and were limited to two hits against their opponent that competes in the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC).

The team's two runs each came via RBI ground outs. The first was in the third inning by Angel Acevedo to plate Elvis Clime . The second run was in the eighth inning by Edwin St. Hilaire to bring home JP Ramirez.   

The Bears scored their nine runs on 12 hits. They set the tone early with five runs in the first inning.

Reed Jenkins batted 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored to lead the Bears from New London, Connecticut to the neutral site victory.
