Keuka College Falls at Home to Brockport

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Baseball team lost a non-conference game at home to the College at Brockport on Monday afternoon.

Keuka College (9-12) was led by Dan Bamann (Rochester, N.Y. / Irondequoit) at the plate. The junior had a pair of hits include a grand slam. Bamann tied his career-high with five runs driven in on Monday.

The Golden Eagles struck first in the top of the first inning. Brockport plated five runs in the opening inning for the early 5-0 advantage. The Wolves answered in the bottom of the third. Jake Redding (Victor, N.Y. / Victor) and Sean Sheets (Manchester, N.Y. / Red Jacket) led the inning off with a pair of singles. Following a walk, Dan Bamann hit a grand slam for the Wolves, driving the ball over the left centerfield fence, as the Keuka College made it a one-run game, trailing Brockport 5-4 after three innings.

Brockport responded with a pair of runs in the fourth, but Keuka College answered in the fifth. Dan Bamann brought a runner home on an RBI single and the Wolves added a run on a wild pitch to make it 7-6.

Brockport regained their three-run lead in the sixth inning and added two more in the seventh to take an 11-6 lead. The Golden Eagles would continue on to the 15-7 victory.
