Wolves Fall at Home to Penn College

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Baseball team lost to Penn College 9-4 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference game at Kuhl Field on Wednesday.

Dave Verrett led Keuka College (8-13, 3-3 NEAC) with a pair of hits and two runs batted in on Wednesday. Tyler Broderick also had a pair of hits for the Wolves.

The Wildcats jumped out to a commanding 5-0 lead with three runs in the top of the first and two more in the second.

Keuka College got on the board in the bottom of the second on RBI singles hit by Anthony Brown and Dave Verrett.

Verrett then added to his hit and RBI count in the fourth with his second RBI single to make the game 5-3. However, Penn College scored two runs in the fifth and two more in the sixth to push the lead to 9-3.

The Wolves got one back in the ninth on an RBI triple by Tyler Freedman, but that would be it as Keuka College fell to Penn College 9-4 on Wednesday.

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves take to the road as they travel to Washington, D.C. to face Gallaudet University in a North Eastern Athletic Conference series. The Wolves will face the Bison in a doubleheader on Saturday and then complete the three-game series with a single game on Sunday.
