The No. 18 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater baseball team extended its win streak to 12 games Tuesday with a pair of convincing victories at UW-Platteville in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader.

The Warhawks (22-6 overall, 15-1 WIAC), who maintained a two-game lead in the loss column in the conference standings over UW-La Crosse, topped the Pioneers 15-2 in the first game before posting a 12-0 triumph in the nightcap. Both games were called after seven innings due to run rule.

Sophomore pitcher Matt O'Sullivan highlighted the second game with the program's seventh no-hitter all time and first since 2010. He was perfect through 5 2/3 innings before surrendering a two-out walk in the bottom of the sixth.

O'Sullivan (5-2) pitched a 1-2-3 seventh inning, ending the contest with his ninth strikeout. He needed only 75 pitches to get through the 21 outs.

O'Sullivan received plenty of run support as UW-Whitewater recorded five runs in the opening frame and didn't look back.

Senior second baseman Nick Schrader finished 2-for-4 with one run scored and three runs batted in. Junior centerfielder Noah Jensen tallied two hits, including a home run, and added three runs scored and two RBI.

Junior infielder Lucas Price posted two hits and scored two runs, and freshman left fielder Matt Korman drove in a pair of runs.

In Game 1, UW-Whitewater scored in every inning and finished with 17 hits on its way to the win.

Sophomore designated hitter Connor Moroder finished 3-for-5 with one run scored and three runs batted in. Schrader tallied three hits, one walk, one run scored and two RBI, and Jensen posted three hits, two runs scored and two RBI.

Senior catcher Mike Aiello reached base five times with two hits, including one home run, and three walks, and added four runs scored and two RBI. Korman contributed two hits, including a solo home run, and Price registered two hits, one walk and two runs scored.

Sophomore Evan Sigmund pitched three innings of relief to pick up his first career win, collecting seven strikeouts during the outing. Senior Michael Kaska tossed the first four frames, totaling four strikeouts.

The Warhawks host St. Norbert for a single game Wednesday starting at 3 p.m. at Prucha Field at James B. Miller Stadium.
