KENOSHA, WI - The Benedictine University baseball team used a five-run fifth inning to score a non-conference win at Carthage and continue to bolster their resume looking towards a potential NCAA bid.

After going down in order in the first, Benedictine opened the scoring with a single run in the second
Damen Castillo continued his hot string with a single to open the inning and Jack Surin followed with a walk
Tyler Woynerowski kicked off the scoring with an RBI single
Carthage tied the game in the bottom of the inning against starter Alexander Schram
Facing a new hurler in the fifth, Jared Trivette led off with a single and moved up on a sacrifice bunt
Jack Feeley reached on an infield single to extend his hitting streak
Jimmy McLaughlin singled home the go-ahead run while another run scored on an error
Castillo made the score 4-1 with an RBI double and Surin followed with a double to plate Castillo
Nicholas Quick made it three straight doubles, greeting a new pitcher with a double to left, finishing the outburst
