Keystone Enjoys 17-8 Win Over St. John Fisher

La PLUME, Pa. – The Keystone College baseball team enjoyed a 17-8 non-confrence win over visiting St. John Fisher College on Monday afternoon in the final home game for the Giants in the regular season.

With the victory, the Giants improve to 23-13 and will head to the University of Scranton tomorrow at 5 p.m. The Cardinals move to 27-12 on the season.

The top of the order went 8-for-14 with 11 RBI and eight runs scored as senior Dakota McFadden (Rocky Point, NC/Heide Trask) went 3-for-5 with two home runs, four RBI and two runs scored.

Junior Joe Fichera (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) went 3-for-5 with three RBI and four runs at leadoff while senior Mohammed Hussein (Queens, NY/William C. Bryant) went 2-for-4 with four RBI and two runs scored.

Freshman Chris Hadsall (Lehman, Pa./Lake Lehman) went 2-for-4 with two runs scored while freshman Devin Reed (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton Area) and junior Ryan Callahan (Highland Mills, N.Y./Monroe-Woodbury) scored two runs apiece.

McFadden launched a two –run bomb to center in the first and added a solo shot in the eighth.

On the hill, junior Jared Rowley (Dover, Del./Dover) earned the start and went two innings, striking out two. Sophomore Nathan Hinkley (Bradenton, Fla./Saint Lucie West Centennial) – the 2019 CSAC Pitcher of the Year – tossed the next five innings to earn his fourth win of the spring, allowing two earned runs on 75 pitches. Junior Zabdiel Parilla (Reading, Pa./Reading) threw the final two frames, striking out three.

The Giants scored twice in the first, three runs in the second, four runs in the fourth, three in the fifth, and two more in the sixth and eighth frames.

St. John Fisher used eight pitchers in the defeat.
