D3baseball.com All-West Region Teams
WHITTIER, Calif. – The d3baseball.com All-West Region teams were announced Thursday and Dane Goodman (Ross, Calif.) was recognized as the Rookie of the Year.
What an opening campaign for the freshman outfielder being named the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Newcomer of the Year, 1st Team All-SCIAC, and 2nd Team All-West Region. He now becomes the first Poet to be named the Rookie of the Year in the West Region in program history.
This season he batted .390 with 46 hits, which included five doubles, four triples, and four homeruns. He also added 18 runs scored and drove in 32, while swiping nine bases. He posted a .452 OBP and slugged .602, while recording a .985 defensive fielding percentage with three assists and 63 put outs.
