Baseball: Bluffton 7, Bearcats 6

The Baruch College Bearcats narrowly lost a 7-6 contest to the Bluffton University on Friday night in Fort Myers, Florida.

The Bearcats tied it in the top of the third with four runs on three hits and one error.

Kemal Deljanin and Conor McCabe each had a sacrifice fly to plate the first two runs. Eric Diaz followed with an RBI single and Kevin Linitz was later hit with the bases loaded to tie it 4-4.

The Bearcats rallied with an RBI groundout by McCabe in the seventh and Luke Lombardi scoring on a wild pitch in the eighth inning to get as close as 7-6.

A ninth-inning rally with a man on second fell short to suffer the tough loss.

McCabe and Diaz led the Bearcats with two hits each.
