LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University baseball team survived an elimination game behind a complete game performance from Alex Schram on the mound to outlast Rockford.

THE DETAILS
• Rockford was the home team in the contest and grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first with an unearned run
• Benedictine struggled to get anything going offensively and did not record a hit until there were two outs in the sixth
• Benedictine tied the game without a hit in the sixth when Jack Surin reached on an error, moved to second on a balk and third on a wild pitch
• Kevin Bushnell evened the game with a groundout
• Surin homered in the top of the eighth with one out to account for the winning run
• Schram went the distance and did not allow an earned run, walking one and striking out six
