DAVENPORT, FL - The Benedictine University baseball team scored late to grab a third consecutive win, knocking off Hope in Florida.

Benedictine scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning to build a big early edge
- Ryan Doubek led off the game with a walk, moved to second on an error and was sacrificed to third
- Kevin Bushnell put Benedictine on the board with an RBI double
- Damen Castillo followed with a single and Cameron Falk made the score 2-0 with an RBI single
- Andrew Tenison and Cole Wilson also added RBI singles in the inning
- Hope, who was picked to finish second in the MIAA, responded with a run in the second and four in the third to jump ahead 5-4
