Both starting pitchers were in control early on Wednesday. The first run came in the bottom of the fifth as Bowdoin hit a solo home run for the 1-0 lead. The Wolves responded in the sixth. Nick Brown was hit by the pitch and Ryan Seales (Saratoga Springs, N.Y. / Saratoga Springs) followed that with a double. They both were plated on a double by Josh Tryon to give Keuka the lead. Damage could have been more, but Keuka would leave the bases loaded.

Jared Beckley quickly followed that with a 1-2-3 inning as Keuka built the momentum. The Wolves added to their lead in the eight as RJ Murphy (Syracuse, N.Y. / West Genesee) doubled and scored on an error to make it 3-1.

Insurance was added in the ninth for the Wolves. The bases were loaded on a Brown single, Seales double, and Tryon intentional walk. With two outs, Devyn Scheidt singled to center to score Brown and Seales and give the Wolves the 5-1 advantage.

The insurance was needed. The Polar Bears scored two runs in the ninth and continued to threaten. With Ryan Seales on the mound, Bowdoin loaded the bases with two outs, but Seales got a groundout to earn the save in the 5-3 Keuka College victory.
