DAVENPORT, Fla. — The Keuka College Baseball team lost to St. Olaf College 17-2 on Thursday as a part of their spring trip to Florida.
Nick Brown (Liverpool, N.Y. / Liverpool) had two of Keuka College's (3-4) six hits on the afternoon. Samuel O'Neil (Macedon, N.Y. / Ruben A. Cirillo) added a double for the Wolves.
St. Olaf College 17 vs. Keuka College 2
The Oles struck first on Thursday. A walk led off the second inning and it was followed by seven straight hits as St. Olaf took control. They would lead 7-0 after two innings.
Keuka College answered quickly in the bottom of the third. With two outs, singles from Matt Vaccaro (Fayetteville, N.Y. / Fayetteville-Manlius), Nick Brown, and Ryan Seales (Saratoga Springs, N.Y. / Saratoga Springs) plated a run for the Wolves.
However, Keuka's momentum was short-lived as St. Olaf hit a grand slam to lead 11-1 after three. St. Olaf added six more in the fifth as the Oles had the game in hand.
Keuka added one run in the seventh. Samuel O'Neil led off with a double and scored on an RBI single by Donald Nemeth (Guilderland, N.Y. / Guilderland), but the Wolves would fall to St. Olaf 17-2.

- Keuka College remains winless in five games against St. Olaf. All five games have been played in Florida
- The leadoff double was the first collegiate hit for Samuel O'Neil
- Matt Vacarro's single gave him a hit in four straight games, setting a new personal best
- Kole Schmerder (Vestal, N.Y. / Vestal) pitched 1.2 innings of effective relief. The freshman allowed only one hit and struck out two
