ST. DAVIDS, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College baseball team had one of their best offensive games of the year and scored over 20 runs for the fifth time this season in a 23-9 victory at Eastern University on Friday afternoon at The Yard. The Dutchmen completed the season sweep of the Eagles after Tuesday's victory at McGill Field.
LVC (21-13, 9-3 MAC Commonwealth) scored all their runs in four different innings with six in the first, six in the second, six in the fourth, and five runs in the seventh inning. The Eagles (10-24, 3-9 MAC Commonwealth) scored a run in the first and a run in the second. They then did most of their scoring in the later innings with two in the sixth, three in the seventh, and a run in each of the eighth and ninth innings.

- The Dutchmen scored their second-most runs of the year and had their fifth game of scoring over 20 runs. LVC had 22 hits which are the third-most behind Tuesday's win and Saturday's win at Albright. The Dutchmen hit three home runs for the fourth time in a span of six games.
- LVC finished the season sweep of Eastern scoring 44 total runs on 46 hits including six home runs with 38 RBIs against the Eagles.
- Seven different hitters had multi-hit games led by Luke Blair and Ryan Murphy with three each. Blair knocked in two runs and scored twice while Murphy walked twice, scored four times, and knocked in two.
- Jace Fetterman knocked in the first run of the game with a single through the right side and then blasted a three-run homer to right-center in the fourth. The first-year tied his season-high with four RBIs.
- Shane Stossel singled up the middle in the first scoring Mike Bulgia with the second run of the game and then hit a solo shot to left-center in the second for his fifth home run of the year.
- Nico Santoro extended his hitting streak to an impressive 18 games with an infield single to second during his second time to the plate in the first inning. He finished the day with two hits, three runs scored, and two RBIs.
- Dave Mangold was the third Dutchman to hit a homer with a pinch-hit two-run shot to left-center in the seventh.
- LVC stole a season-high six bases led by Bulgia and Blair with two each. Murphy and Max Kaplan stole a base each.
- Bryce Eberly threw five strong innings to earn the win on the hill. He struck out five and allowed two runs on five hits and three walks.
- Brady Frankland, Dylan Lower, Nick Guerieri, and Jeremy Tuz all pitched an inning each in relief. Frankland struck out two and Lower struck out three.
Who's Next
Lebanon Valley has a big conference series tomorrow afternoon as the Dutchmen host Alvernia for a pair of games at McGill Field. Game one will begin at 12 p.m. between teams that are at the top of the conference standings. LVC leads the MAC Commonwealth with a 9-3 record while the Golden Wolves are in a four-way tie for second at 7-3.
