On the mound, Nic Carbone (Amsterdam, N.Y. / Amsterdam) allowed only one hit through the first three innings against the Defenders. The Keuka offense took the lead in the bottom of the third. A leadoff walk to Drew Chairmonte (Lancaster, N.Y. / Lancaster) started the inning. Matt Vaccaro (Fayetteville, N.Y. / Fayetteville-Manlius) followed with a single, and Nick Brown (Liverpool, N.Y. / Liverpool) reached on an error on his sacrifice bunt attempt to load the bases. Ryan Seales (Saratoga Springs, N.Y. / Saratoga Springs) scored Chairmonte on a sacrifice fly, but the Wolves would leave the other two on the bases as Keuka only plated on in the inning.

Clarks Summit quickly tied the game up with a pair of hits and a Keuka College error, but the Wolves took the lead back just as quickly. Donald Nemeth (Guilderland, N.Y. / Guilderland) singled to lead off the inning and Tyler Lewandowski (Milltown, N.J. / Spotswood) followed with a bunt single of his own. A sacrifice bunt moved them in scoring position. Nemeth would score on a groundout by Tanner Young (Camden, N.Y. / Camden) and Lewandowski would come home on a two-out single by Nick Brown to make it 3-1 in favor of the Wolves.

It would prove to be all the run support Carbone needed. The sophomore allowed just two base runners over the final three innings. The Wolves added a run in the sixth on a Ryan Seales RBI double as the Wolves defeated the Defenders 4-1.

Lead Wolf: Nic Carbone pitched his first career complete game in the opener. Carbone allowed just five hits and one unearned run. He also set a new career high, striking out nine batters in the game.

Matt Vaccaro led off with a double and scored on a Nick Brown single. Later in the inning with Brown on third, Josh Tryon (Elmira, N.Y. / Thomas A. Edison) singled to center to score Brown, making it 3-2.

Three doubles in the fifth would give Keuka the lead. Matt Vacarro had his second of the game. Then with two outs, Ryan Seales doubled to score Vacarro. Tryon was up next and he doubled to right center to score Seales and give the Wolves a 4-3 lead.

Clarks Summit would pressure in the sixth but Jared Beckley (Windsor, N.Y. / Windsor) got a pair of strikeouts to end the inning. In the seventh, a one-out double put the tying run into scoring position. Kole Schmerder (Vestal, N.Y. / Vestal) entered and retired the final two batters to earn the save as Keuka College won game two 4-3 to sweep the doubleheader.

Lead Wolf: Matt Vaccaro kick-started the Keuka College offense in game two. His two doubles each started an inning in which Keuka would score runs.
