MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Senior first baseman Alexis Castillo (Sunrise, Fla./The Sagemont School) has been to tabbed to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-America team. 

This is Castillo's second All-America honor after he was previously named to the D3baseball All-America squad.

Castillo earns the award after hitting .388 with a .464 on-base percentage and a .588 slugging percentage in the regular season and OAC Tournament. He totaled 66 hits with 13 doubles and seven home runs. Castillo drove in 42 runs batted in (RBIs) and came around to score 36 runs. He also went 50% on stolen base chances going 2-for-4. 

In 10 NCAA Tournament games, Castillo is hitting .487 with a .542 on-base percentage and a .692 slugging percentage. He tallied 19 hits including five doubles and a home run. He led the team in the NCAA Tournament with 22 RBIs and he has also scored nine runs.

For his career, Castillo is a .397 hitter with a .461 on-base percentage and a .592 slugging percentage. Castillo has totaled 149 hits, 31 doubles, 14 home runs, 83 runs scored and 110 RBIs. He is two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection, a D3baseball.com All-Region 7 second team selection and an American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-Region 7 first team selection.

BW finished the season with a 39-12 mark, including finishing third at the NCAA Division III College World Series. In the OAC, the Yellow Jackets finished with a 15-3 record and their first outright OAC Regular Season Title since 1986.
