LYNX FALL TO FRANKLIN IN LATE INNINGS HEARTBREAKER

The Lynx let a game slip away against Franklin today, falling by a score of 10-6. After going down 2-0 in the first inning, the bats began chipping away. A crafty double steal gave the Lynx their first run as Corbin Kinder took second, and Eli Selby swiped home on the throw. Then, in the fourth, Malcolm Rohlfing lined a SAC fly into right, scoring Dante Messina. Myles Kruger then doubled, scoring Corbin Kinder and Eli Selby. In the 5th, Kinder tripled, scoring Selby, with Rohlfing following up by singling home Kinder.

Colby Slaughter opened the game, rebounding nicely after a rough first inning. Freshman Ben Daniel came in in relief, pitching a very solid 4 innings, giving up no runs and striking out 4.

In the late innings however, a few costly errors let Franklin back in the game, and they eventually took the lead, stealing a win from the Lynx.

The Lynx are back in action tomorrow, taking on North Central Illinois at 2 pm at Stauffer Field.
