Senior first baseman Alex Newton (Saco, Maine) went two-for-four with a double and four RBIs en route to the Corsairs' 23rd victory of the season.
April 11, 2015 Newbury Takes Twin-Bill From Daniel Webster The Newbury College baseball team swept Saturday afternoon's double-header against Daniel Webster College in New England College Conference (NECC) action. Senior right-hander Danny Lumb (Stoneham, Mass.) opened the day tossing his third complete game of the season, allowing just one earned run while scattering five hits and striking out six.
April 8, 2015 Newbury finally gets win over Bucs Among the games played on Wednesday, a first was established by Newbury as the Nighthawks earned their first program's win over Mass Maritime. Elsewhere weather continues to be the story in 2015 with numerous postponements.
March 22, 2015 Newbury Takes Season Series over Lesley with 8-6 Win The Newbury College baseball team completed the season sweep of Lesley University with an 8-6 victory in the rubber game, in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action, Sunday evening. First year shortstop Billy Stephen (Windermere, Fla.) recorded the game-winning hit lining a two-out, two-RBI, base-hit back up in the bottom of the seventh inning.
May 25, 2014 Newbury Two-Sport Athlete Ethan Forrest Featured in Brockton Enterprise The Newbury College freshman made the All-New England Collegiate Conference first team in men's soccer after leading the Nighthawks in scoring. He was selected the NECC baseball rookie of the year and made the second team after winning a team-leading five games this spring.
