Four players heard their name in the second day of the MLB amateur draft. Kiefer Lord, Jonah Advincula, Charlie Szykowny and Andrew Sears were drafted off scholarship teams in 2023. Jackson Hornung and Hayden Snelsire were selected on the final day of the MLB draft.

UW-Stout swept UW-Oshkosh for the first time in five years on Saturday as they fight for the final WIAC tournament spot. Out east it was Ithaca wrapping up the regular season Empire 8 title and will host the end of the season tournament.
What a difference a day makes - and a change in location. A day after getting swept by UW-Oshkosh, UW-Stout turned the tables by sweeping the Titans, 10-3, 6-1, Saturday at Tiedemann Field. A day earlier, the teams met at the Woodside Sports Complex in Mauston and Oshkosh took a 5-4 come-from-behind win in the first game and a seven inning 12-2 win. Stout has not swept a single day doubleheader over the Titans since April 17, 2014, with 10-0, 6-2 wins. The Blue Devils have not swept the Titans in Oshkosh since May 5, 2006, winning 15-9, 16-5.
UW-Stout's Brad Rindfleisch threw nine hit less innings from the sixth to the fourteenth inning but it was UW-La Crosse with a single run in the 17th inning who took a 3-2 win back to the barn. The Eagles prevailed in a rain-shortened five inning affair 8-3.
Ben Kincaid, who has been the assistant coach with the Blue Devils for the last two years, will take over as head coach, UW-Stout officials announced today. Former head coach Toby Gardenhire will join the Minnesota Twins' minor league system as a coach.
