COON RAPIDS, Minn. – The University of Northwestern Eagles (17-17, 10-4) swept the North Central University Rams (5-21, 2-12) on Saturday.  They won game one 5-2 and the nightcap 6-5. Senior Nathan Ehnstrom (Aitkin, Minn./Aitkin) played all nine positions in game two, a feat no other Northwestern baseball player has done in program history.
 
Game One
North Central got on the board in the bottom of the first inning, and it took the Eagles offense a little while to get rolling.  In the top of the fourth, Carter Michaelson (South St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul) led off with a single and then Andrew Simonson (Lakeland, Minn./Eastridge) singled him to third.  Bradley Spencer (Papillion, NE/Papillion South) then singled home both runners to give the Eagles a 2-1 lead.
 
The Rams tied the game at two in the sixth, but in the seventh the Eagles broke it open.  Wyatt Morrell (Elk River, Minn./Homeschool) hit a bases loaded sacrifice fly and then Aaron Krahn (Roseau, Minn./Roseau) doubled home Cedric Cavazos (Chicago, Ill./Buffalo Grove) and Spencer.

Wyatt Morrell (Elk River, Minn./Homeschool) got the win on the mound as he threw six innings while scattering seven hits and giving up two runs.  Carter Michaelson (South St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul) got the save as he pitched the last three innings while only giving up one hit.
 
Game Two
The nightcap was the Nathan Ehnstrom (Aitkin, Minn./Aitkin) show as he played all nine positions in the game.  In his final regular season game, he is the first player in Northwestern history to achieve this incredible feat.  Not only did he appear at all nine positions, but he also got the save on the mound as the Eagles won the game 6-5.
 
The Rams once again took an early lead as they managed to score five runs in the bottom of the second, but the Eagles responded in the third.  Carlton Lindow (Cannon Falls, Minn./Cannon Falls) doubled before Bradley Spencer (Papillion, NE/Papillion South) singled him to third and then Wyatt Morrell (Elk River, Minn./Homeschool) had his record setting 37^th walk of the season.  Caleb Piersma (Pella, Iowa/Pella) doubled home Spencer and Lindow to make it 5-2. 
 
After a 45-minute rain/lightning delay in the bottom of the fourth, Aaron Krahn (Roseau, Minn./Roseau) made it 5-3 with a solo shot to center field.  In the top of the seventh, the Eagles tied the score after Krahn once again doubled home Morrell and Piersma.
 
In the top of the ninth, Krahn had his fourth RBI of the game on a single to score Piersma which set Nathan Ehnstrom (Aitkin, Minn./Aitkin) up for the save in his journey around the diamond.  Andrew Simonson (Lakeland, Minn./Eastridge) got the start for the Eagles and was relieved by Quinton Lindow (Cannon Falls, Minn./Cannon Falls) who got the win on the mound as he pitched 6.2 dominant innings.
