No. 22 Salisbury opened the 2019 season with a 7-2 win against Gwynedd Mercy on Sunday afternoon at Sea Gull Baseball Stadium. Matt Padeway and Cameron Hyder led the offensive effort for Salisbury, each with two hits. Padeway drove in two runs and had a triple in the game.
Trinity's fourth-ranked team finished off a weekend series against eighth-ranked Cortland with a 10-5 victory. John Tucker had a standout day and a stellar weekend for the Tigers, going 3-4 with five RBI in Sunday's victory. The original three-game series to open the 2019 season was shortened to just two contests due to weather and field conditions in San Antonio.
Rhodes finished the weekend with an 11-10 edge over LeTourneau. John Fears earned his first collegiate victory after pitching the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. He went to the mound down 7-1 and left with an 8-7 lead. Nick Bosma earned his first save of the season after coming in from right field to pitch for the eighth and ninth innings. Rhodes recorded 15 hits in the win, which included Bosma connecting on three-of-four at-bats as well as Ryan Palermo connecting on three-of-five at the plate. Stacy tallied three RBI while Will Heurtin recorded two.
Maryville used a 20-hit offensive explosion to go undefeated at the Millsaps Invitational after defeating the host Majors 17-7. A dozen of the Scots' 20 hits came from four players. First baseman Peyton Sawyer went 3-for-6 with a pair of RBI. Third baseman Mike Homan finished 3-for-5 with three runs scored and a trio of RBI. Right fielder Cody Gregory went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs scored and a run driven in. Left fielder Ryan Jones went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and three key RBI. Christian Poulsen and Drew Johnson also tacked on a pair of runs driven in each. Maryville's Trevor Townsend came on in relief to earn the victory on the mound. Townsend scattered five hits over 4.1 innings striking out four Millsaps hitters.

Washington and Lee used four-run sixth and seventh innings to pull away from Averett in a 9-1 win in its 2019 home opener. Ryan Monson and Jason Volpicelli both finished 3-for-5 in the game, with Monson adding a double, two runs and an RBI. Chadwick Feeley finished 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI, as his four at-bats moved him into sole possession of fourth on the program's all-time at-bats list (491), while his pair of hits tied him with Bryan Mulhern for sixth most base knocks in program history. Tom Kellogg earned the win, needing just 64 pitches to complete his five innings.

George Fox ended the Tucson Invitational with a bang, beating California Lutheran, 20-5. The Bruins found their bats on the final day of the four-game road trip, exploding for 21 hits and 20 RBIs in the second win of the season. In the fourth straight game of the season, the Bruins allowed their opposition to score in the opening inning. George Fox responded emphatically in the bottom of the first, recording a season-best eight runs to answer CLU and set the tone for the game.
Five-different Boxers had a hit including Jacob Igawa and Dylan Morgan, who had four and three hits, respectively led Pacific to a 9-8 win over Sul Ross State on the final day of the Cactus Classic. A three-run fourth and four-run sixth inning sparked Pacific in the win to snap a three-game losing streak, who evens it record at 3-3. It is the first multi-hit games of the career for both Igawa and Morgan. Jordan Hara, Trevor Quinn and Morgan each had two RBIs to lead the Boxers. Pacific starting pitcher Sam Lawrence got the win, pitching five innings and striking out four for his first win on the season.

Williiam Peace defeated Brevard 4-2. In the bottom of the 12th inning with the score at 2-2, Easton Payton doubled to left field and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt from Parker Fernstrum. Alec Seaton stepped up to the plate and hit a walk-off home run over the left field fence for the Pacers' 4-2 walk-off win. The Pacers split the series with the Tornadoes, 2-2.
Berry claimed the third and final game of the weekend series with the Emory & Henry Wasps in a 20-6 blowout. The win evens Berry's record at 2-2 on the year. Freshman Garrett West claimed his first career victory, tossing 4.0 innings.
Locked in a 3-3 tie after six innings, No.13 Christopher Newport offense broke open a tight game with Ferrum with five runs in the bottom of the seventh and two more in the eighth inning to pull away for a 10-4 win. Senior Austin Slough got the win in relief and the 1-2-3 batters in the Captains' lineup finished with multi-hit games. All nine batters reached base for the Captains' sweep against their former conference foes. Seth Woodard led the offense with a 2-for-4 performance with 3 RBI and a walk, while Jordan Mason (2-for-4, 2 R), and Conner Clark (2-for-5, 1 RBI, 1 R) also added multi-hit efforts.
Aggressive hitting and clutch pitching the entire game gave East Texas Baptist a shutout over the Centenary Gents, 7-0, in a nine-inning victory. ETBU wins their first series of the season by taking two-of-three games against the Gents to start out 2-1. Collecting eight hits as a team, the Tigers were led by two hit performances from Casey Combs (HR, two RBI), Landen Barns, and Zachary McAdams while Seth Mikeska and Ford Spigener also had two RBI in the game. Starting for ETBU was John Marrs, who lasted 4.1 innings allowing four hits with three strikeouts. Alek Arellano (0.2 IP, one BB), Cole Godkin (1.0 IP, two hits), Chad Boudreaux (1.0 IP, two hits), Call Florence (1.0 IP, one hit, one BB, three strikeouts), and Cade Purcell (1.0 IP, one hit, three strikeouts) finished out the remaining 4.2 innings with Florence getting the win in relief for his performance.
