(Winter Haven, Fla.) – Dickinson Head Baseball Coach Craig Hanson recorded his 200th career win as the Red Devils swept a double-header from Keuka College on Friday afternoon.

The Red Devils captured the opener 9-2 and closed out spring break with a 3-0 shutout in the nightcap. Hanson reached the 200 mark in the opener and took a step closer to the next milestone with the sweep.

A 2003 graduate of Middlebury College, Hanson is in his 12th season at the helm of the Red Devil program. Since his arrival in Carlisle, Hanson has dedicated himself to the recruitment of talented student-athletes nationwide. The Red Devils broke the school record for wins in a season, in both 2011 and 2012. Under Hanson, the Red Devils have virtually rewritten the school record book, filling the top ten in numerous categories.

The Red Devils are off to a 10-2 start to the season. They are scheduled to be right back in action on Sunday, hosting Wells College at 12:00 pm.

The Red Devils wasted little time putting runs on the board in game one. Senior Max Brown (Annapolis, Md./McDonogh School) drove in two runs with a double and classmate Alex Jacobson (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) tripled to add a pair as well to highlight the inning.

Chris Delsandro (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) added an RBI single and Joey Volpe (Wall, N.J./St. Rose) tallied an RBI, scoring Jacobson to put the Red Devils in front, 6-0.

Brooks Vertoske singled in a pair of runs to cut the deficit to 6-2 in the bottom of the fourth inning.

The Red Devils pushed across two runs in the sixth inning as Volpe doubled and Alex Cohen (Newtown Square, Pa./Penn Charter) added two RBI with a triple.

David Farnham (Atherton, Calif./Menlo) launched a pinch-hit single in the seventh and scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Brown to close out the scoring.

Max Matilsky (Bernardsville, N.J./Morristown-Beard) went 2-for-4 on the day as nine Red Devils recorded a hit in the opener. Brown finished with three RBI while Cohen and Jacobson each drove in two.

Teddy Reddington (Reston, Va./Flint) went the distance, recording nine strikeouts while scattering five hits.

The Red Devils pushed across all three runs in the fifth inning to post a 3-0 shutout in the nightcap. Ben Rappaport (Wilton, Conn./St. Luke's) turned in a strong performance on the hill, booking 10 strikeouts in a three-hit complete game.

Delsandro started things off with a two-out single and moved to third on an error and a passed ball. Jacobson singled to put the Red Devils on top and Cohen added a two-RBI single.

The Red Devils return north after a 10-2 start and will be back in action on Sunday, hosting Wells College at 12:00 pm on MacPhail Field.
