Dylan Blake tied a career-high four hits as St. Olaf defeated Kalamazoo, 15-2, in the Oles final game of the Russmatt Central Florida Invitational on Wednesday. After St. Olaf (9-4) was tied with Kalamazoo (1-6) at the end of the second inning, the Oles scored 10 runs off six hits in the third inning to gain the lead and held it for the remainder of the game. The last time the Oles scored more than nine runs in an inning was an 11-run fifth inning against Concordia (Minn.) on Apr. 3, 2016. St. Olaf had 10 different players record at least one hit in the game, and Sam Stuckmayer was a perfect 3-for-3 at bat, along with three RBI and one run. Blake had four hits, four runs and two RBI, and Tommy McDonald added two hits, three RBI and three runs.

Mount Union picked up a 9-2 non-conference win over Westminster (Pa.). Nick Satovich tallied four hits and drove in two runs while Coleman Stauffer and Nathan Duliba each registered two hits to headline the Purple Raider offense. Mount Union (12-5 overall) used three pitchers in the game as Billy Keller fanned two batters over 5.1 innings of work for his first victory of the season

Controlling the game from start to finish, North Central began its quest for a fifth-straight CCIW title with a 11-1 drubbing of Carroll in the conference opener at Zimmerman Stadium. North Central ran wild in the early parts of the contest, successfully swiping their first seven stolen base attempts while the offense also held a 13-4 advantage in hits. Jeremy Quade led all batters finishing 3-for-5 with four RBI, a run scored and a stolen base, moving into sole position of fourth on the career hits list (202) and second in stolen bases (53).

Tufts drew 20 walks, tied for the second-most in a game in NCAA Division III history, as they defeated Mass Maritime 24-6 in their home opener at Huskins Field. Freshman Peter DeMaria went 3 for 3 with a double, a home run and five rbis and senior Casey Santos-Ocampo finished 2 for 4 with three runs and three rbis for the Jumbos (9-2). Senior Harrison Frickman hit a three-run home run and scored three times. Tufts' 24 runs were the most by the Jumbos since a 28-2 win at Brandeis in 2015. Fourteen different Jumbos earned walks led by four from junior lead-off batter Justin Mills. The 20 bases on balls are the most in an NCAA Division III game since 2007. Today was the fifth time a team has taken 20 walks. The NCAA record is 24 by WashU versus Principia in 1997. Eleven of the walks scored this afternoon. Senior Paul Sances and junior 1B Nick Haley both had two hits for Mass Maritime (3-10), with Haley driving home four runs.

Pitt-Bradford picked up its first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference victory as part of a doubleheader split with Alfred State at the Kessel Athletics Complex. Pitt-Bradford (8-8, 1-3 AMCC) topped Alfred State 3-1 in game one before the Pioneers got the best of a 3-1 final in game two. "Very pleased with our pitching today," Head Coach Zach Foster said. "We ran into a decent arm in game two. Our guys' work ethic and discipline have been very good. We just need to remain consistent and diligent to what we want to accomplish and things are going to click."

New York University starting pitcher Ford ladd tossed 7.1 innings to help lead the Violets to a 2-1 victory over SUNY New Paltz at MCU Park in Brooklyn. Ladd allowed just four hits and one earned run as NYU improved to 11-3 on the season and the Hawks dropped to 7-5. Wednesday's win helped the Violets avenge a 5-4 loss to New Paltz last week in Florida.

DePauw moved to 12-6 on the season and extended its win streak to five following a 5-1 win over Thomas in the Tigers' final game in Florida. The Terriers dropped to 1-12. The Tigers scored four times in the sixth as Brayden White and Charlie Patrick reached by being hit by a pitch before an error on TJ Carney-DeBord's fly ball with two outs allowed White to score. Spencer Youngcourt followed with a two-run single before Nick Nelson singled home Youngcourt. CJ Yoannou's single in the seventh scored Patrick and gave the Tigers a 5-0 lead. Thomas' lone run came in the eighth when Alexander Miller doubled home Bradly Smith. Five different Tigers collected one hit each, while Connor Rittenhouse had three of the Terriers' five hits.

Sophomore Kyle Lamantia came one out away from throwing the first no-hitter in Averett history, as baseball held on for a thrilling 1-0 victory over Bridgewater on the road Wednesday afternoon. Lamantia turned in arguably his best performance in an Averett uniform, striking out four batters over 8.2 innings. The right-hander carried a no-hitter into the final out of Wednesday's non-conference battle before Kevin Navedo hit a line drive triple to left field. The Eagles put runners on second and third in the bottom of the ninth, but freshman Avery Spicer came out of the bullpen for the Cougars and slammed the door with a strikeout for his first career save.

Catholic stopped a four game skid after coming out on top of a back-and-forth affair against York (Pa.). The Cardinals (10-8) used 14 hits and scored in six of their eight innings to defeat the Spartans in a high-scoring contest, 15-12. Sophomore Connor Cozad was the big offensive headline with his second HR of the season, but York's four errors led to eight unearned runs. Cozad had two hits including his second homerun of the year and three RBIs, and was joined by Bailey Lewis, Nicholas Torroella, and Connor Sullivan who all had multi-hit games.

Led by a two-home run, nine-RBI day from junior Matt Johnston, MIT came away with a 20-8 victory at Redlands on Wednesday afternoon. The nine-RBI performance ties the MIT single game record, that was set 52 years ago by Jeff Weissman. This was the first-ever meeting between the two teams as Redlands has now dropped four straight games overall.

Penn State Altoona baseball got its 2019 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference schedule off to a great start sweeping Pitt-Greensburg in a doubleheader at Bobcat Park. The Lions (9-7, 2-0 AMCC) won game one 6-3, then prevailed 5-3 in game two. Penn State Altoona was backed by more solid pitching, picking up some big hits along the way. "Big sweep for us today. Once again, we relied on our arms to pick up two big victories," said Penn State Altoona head coach RJ Barnard. "George's [Stiuso] bomb was a huge momentum booster in game two, after stranding so many base runners earlier in the game."

Behind an impressive pitching performance from freshman Brendan Kirck and a historic home run off the bat of Jake Gleason, Springfield defeated Dean College, 3-2, at Archie Allen Field. The victory boosts the Pride's record to 7-7 and drops the Bulldogs to 3-11 on the year. Dean made a late-inning push against the Pride as they were able to push across a pair of runs on three hits in the top of the final frame. Andrew Dirito was able to triple and drive home two runs for the Bulldogs before Duncan Satterlee was able to shut the door and corral his first save of the season.

Powered by a season-high 19 hits, Franklin closed out their spring break trip on a high note, downing Union by a 15-11 score. All nine members of the starting lineups had at least one hit for the Grizzlies (10-6) as Franklin tormented Union (2-5) from start to finish. Sam Claycamp, Drew Naumovich and Blake Fisher all had three hits against the Dutchmen in a game that saw five different Grizzlies drive in multiple runs.

Two big innings, scoring four runs in the third and sixth frames, lifted Rochester to an 11-4 victory over the College at Brockport at Towers Field. The Yellowjackets (7-6) pounded out 13 hits in the win, three each of the bat of David Rieth and Steve Pickering, with both Jack Herman and Aiden Finch scoring three runs.  Jacob Matzat and Finch also both drove in three runs. Brockport (7-10) was paced by Tom Kretzler who went 3-5 with a double, triple and run scored.

Ripon's bats woke up in a big way during their home opener, which resulted in a 12-8 victory against Marian. The Red Hawks finished with season highs of 12 runs and 15 hits, including six extra-base hits, with three of those clearing the outfield wall. Joey Garza finished a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate in his home Red Hawks' home debut, driving in three runs and scoring two more. Matthew Barnes added three hits and three RBIs.

Middlebury broke open up 4-3 game with four runs in the sixth inning, on its way to a 9-3 win over Union (2-6) in Orlando, Florida on Wednesday afternoon. The Panthers (8-4) are off until Friday, when they host game one of a three-game NESCAC West series against Hamilton at noon in Orlando. Bobby Sullivan (2-0) picked up the win with two innings of relief, with all six outs coming via strikeout. Starter Jackson Atwood allowed no earned runs through three innings, while Alex Rosario, Conor Himstead and George Goldstein each tossed an inning of scoreless relief.

George Fox bounced back from a pair of NWC losses on Wednesday, with a non-NWC win against Lewis & Clark at home in an 8-6 contest. Matt Voelzke did a bit of everything for the Bruins, turning two double plays and scoring a run in addition to earning a save on the mound. Ibara and Garcia tripled and Swenson homered in the win. The Bruins move to 16-8 overall after the bounce-back win over the Pios to complete a four-game season series sweep.

Freshman rightfielder Christopher Walker drove in two runs as Montclair State scored the first nine runs in an 11-4 victory over DeSales at Yogi Berra Stadium. Freshman first baseman Peter Cosentino had two hits and an RBI for the Red Hawks, who moved back to the .500 mark at 7-7. Frank Licari dove in a pair of runs for the Bulldogs (7-10).

Jake Schuster drove home the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning as Marywood held off King's for a 11-10 non-conference victory. The win snaps a four-game slide for the Pacers, who improved to 4-11 on the year. King's slipped to 6-10 with the loss. Tied 10-10, pinch-hitter Michael Tempel opened the bottom of the ninth with a single to left. After the Monarchs got two consecutive stikeouts, Trevor Powers moved Tempel to third with a single to right. chuster then stepped to the plate to provide the heroics, singling up the middle to bring Tempel across the plate. King's senior Dan Hartson went 4-for-6 at the plate on Wednesday afternoon including the 100th hit of his career.

Ursinus picked up a 14-7 non-conference win at Immaculata behind a massive hitting spree and a solid outing from freshman pitcher A.J. Palumbo. Ursinus (9-6) scored runs in each of the first five innings to separate itself from the streaking Mighty Macs, who saw their eight-game winning run end. Following a rare goose egg in the sixth, an Ursinus hit parade in the seventh ensued, allowing the Bears to score six key runs in the frame. The visitors then held off a late-game charge as the Macs (10-4) scored five combined runs in the last three innings.
